Free your core with a ball!
In this lesson I show you how to use a small ball to really improve the mobility of your core. As we get older its very easy to forget just how important it is to have not just a strong core but a mobile core too. As martial artists and dancers know all too well the ability to initiate movement from your centre is the foundation of all good movement. A baby begins to learn this from their first day. If you experience any pain or difficulty with these exercises, stop and consult your healthcare provider. If you experience any symptoms of weakness, unsteadiness, light-headedness or dizziness, chest pain or pressure, nausea, or shortness of breath. Mild soreness after exercise may be experienced after beginning a new exercise. Contact your physician if the soreness does not improve after 2-3 days. The ball I am using in the video is one of a pair of orange Franklin Method balls. Erik Franklin is a brilliant movement teacher who has written a number of excellent books.
