More Bicycle Stop Lights Increase Safety

On this quick ride in NYC I point out the benefits to having bicycle stop lights along bike lanes. A designated bicycle stop light give clear direction on when a bicycle is supposed to cross an intersection. But most importantly, it stops cars from making a turn at the same time as a bicycle is crossing the intersection. It also helps to heighten drivers awareness of looking out for cyclist even when they do have the green light to turn. I think I'll dive deeper into this topic on a future ride.
