Ford włożył w furgon silnik z Le Mans. Wyszło szaleństwo!

Ford put a Le Mans engine in a van. It was crazy! This is the story of the Ford Transit Mk1, a van designed for bakers and artisans that became a motoring legend. In 1972, Scotland Yard declared it the most sought-after van in Britain, used in approximately 95% of bank robberies. Ford responded to this ambiguous notoriety by building the Supervan on the chassis of the GT40 V8 racing car, and two production diesels broke three world records at the Monza circuit. We tell how the 1963 Redcap project transformed a van into a car, why all its competitors died out while the Transit sold over 8 million units, and how its descendants became a symbol of the Polish transformation after 1989. Music used in the film: Eyes of Glory by Aakash Gandhi, When Johnny Comes Marching Home by Cooper Cannell. The photos come from archive.org and are publicly available.
