Whitewater RR, Valley Flyer 6 21 26

A trip from Connersville, In. to Metamora, In. on the Valley Flyer. This trip is along the old Whitewater Canal, which follows the Whitewater River. North of Connersville is the old home place where my great uncle lived. There was a feeder dam on the river that had one end on Uncle Leo's farm, the feeder canal from this dam was right along the front of the farmhouse, a bridge across it accessed the house and barns. A little further down the feeder was the canal itself. On Leo's property where Interstate Rd. crosses the canal it's quite wide. At one time there was a structure like a hotel there where the boats would tie off.
