Departing from Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, we aimed to catch Japanese pufferfish in the Harima Nada Sea. Our fishing guide was Takeshi Yamamoto of Fishing Max. We used the cuttlefish fishing method. We picked up the bite of pufferfish that approached the bait attached to the rig and hooked them. If there's a bite, the trick is to set the hook sharply. Japanese pufferfish are delicious to eat, making them an easy target and popular among anglers in recent years. We caught Japanese pufferfish smoothly from the start of fishing. The bites were big early on, but as the tide slackened, the bites became more delicate. Using a specialized rod with high sensitivity, we used our eyes and hands to quickly set the hook. It's a fun game, as we were able to pick up subtle bites and set the hook. Not only were we able to catch a lot of fish, but the size gradually increased, with many reaching 30cm.
