I'm proving the guilt of the transmission repair guys with facts on camera! Let me recap the backstory: in Part 1, we had an endoscopy done right at a third-party service center. The engine, which I personally overhauled 2.5 years ago, was running perfectly, but stopped starting immediately after the transmission was rebuilt. The mechanics tried to take $1,800 and absolve themselves of responsibility, but an endoscope revealed a "meeting" of valves and pistons. The transmission repair guys had rotated the engine counterclockwise during the mating process and bent the valves. I took the car to my garage to disassemble the top and front of the engine to assess the damage. The money for the automatic transmission repair ($1,800) is currently frozen, and every penny will be deducted from this amount for engine restoration. If there's a difference, we'll give it to them; if the repairs are more expensive, they'll lose out. This episode features a partial engine disassembly. I remove the valve cover, front cover, timing chain, oil pan, and the cylinder head itself (I don't remove the pistons, as the bottom is intact).
