Exploring Agulu – A Town of Great Legacy and Beauty in Anambra State Our recent visit took us to Agulu, a prominent town located in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. Agulu is not only one of the largest towns in the state but also one of the most historically and culturally significant. This remarkable town is the hometown of Mr. Peter Obi, former Governor of Anambra State and the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party. It is also the birthplace of the late Dr. Dora Akunyili, the former Director-General of NAFDAC, renowned for her integrity and courageous service to Nigeria. Agulu is a town known for producing great men and women of honor, leadership, and excellence. It is a symbol of progress and pride for the people of Anambra and Nigeria at large. During our tour, we visited the famous Agulu Lake, a natural wonder with deep cultural roots and scenic beauty. We also explored the biggest hotel in Anambra State, located right in Agulu, along with several other beautiful landmarks and hidden gems within the town.
