S-Bahn Hannover: Ersatzverkehr auf der S 7 – Doppelstockzug der WFL (Januar 2023)

Suburban rail Hannover operates 2 lines between Celle and Hannover. Line S 6 goes via Burgdorf and Aligse on a direct route to Hannover. There is also line S 7, which takes an additional stop at Lehrte. During the first months of 2023, Hannover's suburban rail network has a shortage of vehicles. That's why several replacement trains are used between Hannover and Celle. On January 1, 2023, a double deck train from Wedler Franz Logistik was in service on line S 7. Most of the traincars have an edge at the beginning of the upper deck (except the control car). The stairs to the upper deck are placed in the middle axis. So there are 2 stairs to the lower deck. A class 112 electric locomotive was used, provided by DB Gebrauchtzug. On Sundays 2 trains are needed to operate line S 7. Trains change direction at Lehrte. The other trains on line S 6 and S 7 were trains of S-Bahn Hannover on this day. Since the last tender, S-Bahn Hannover is operated by Transdev.
