The form (tense) that a verb takes expresses the verb relationship to time i.e the present, the past, or the future tense. Aspect, which indicates the state of the action carried out, expresses the progressiveness or completion of a verb. In addition, this video explains the interconnection between tense and aspect which forms the following time reference; present progressive aspect, present perfect aspect, past progressive aspect, past perfect aspect, future progressive aspect and future perfect aspect. The co-occurrence of the progressive and perfective aspect is also discussed in this video.
