Wielka Siklawa w Tatrach - najwyższy wodospad w Polsce - czy szlak do wodospadu jest trudny?

In the next video, we take you on a trip to Wielka Siklawa, the highest waterfall in Poland, located in the heart of the High Tatras on the Roztoka stream. We'll explain how to get there, what's worth seeing along the way, and offer suggestions on how to extend the route to visit the Valley of Five Polish Lakes and the highest mountain hut in the country. The hike begins at the parking lot in Palenica Białczańska – the same parking lot from which the road to Morskie Oko leads. Due to limited space, it's recommended to purchase your parking ticket and entry to the Tatra National Park online in advance. The first 3 km will take you along a paved road to the Mickiewicz Falls. After reaching Mickiewicz Falls, the green trail turns right – this is where you leave most of the hikers heading for Morskie Oko and enter the Roztoka Valley. The trail to Wielka Siklawa is rocky and quite steep in places, but doesn't require a belay – it's a typical Tatra trail of moderate difficulty. The section from Wodogrzmoty to the waterfall is approximately 7.5 km each way and has an elevation gain of 670 m, taking about 3 hours in good conditions. The last few dozen meters may require using your hands, and after rain, the large, flat rock slabs become very slippery, so good shoes with grippy soles are recommended. When you finally stand at the foot of Wielka Siklawa, you'll see an impressive waterfall cascading down approximately 65 m and hear its powerful, relaxing roar. On sunny days, tiny rainbows form in the mist, adding a magical touch to this place. Seweryn Goszczyński described it as early as the 19th century, comparing the foaming water to "diamonds and foam" – and it's hard to find a better description of what you'll see with your own eyes. For those who wish to extend their trip, we recommend a further hike to Wielki Staw Polski (Great Polish Lake) and the PTTK mountain shelter in the Valley of Five Polish Lakes – the highest mountain shelter in Poland, accessible by cable car. The loop route through Piąty Stawów is 16.5 km long and approximately 800 m uphill, taking nearly 6 hours. Returning is possible via the black trail from the shelter to Dolina Roztoki and then the green trail.
