At Home with the Lord

At Home with the Lord (Corinthians 5:8, 1 Thessalonians 4:1, Philippians 1:21-23, Hebrews 12:1) Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. Lyrics: New American Standard Bible (NASB); Copyright © 2020 by The Lockman Foundation.
