Getting started with a self-driving RC car
Technical session delivered by Rahul Ravikumar and Ed Murphy, Software Engineers representing Donkeycar. This talk explores Donkeycar, an open source, high level self-driving library written in Python with a special emphasis on the software and the algorithms being used. First, we will look at the anatomy of a self-driving RC car. We will then do a quick run through of typical hardware used to build such a car. We will dive into different algorithmic approaches to self-driving, including techniques from Computer Vision, and Deep Learning. Finally, we will also explore the software stack available and how you can customize your car and go beyond just getting things to work. This talk will help you get started on your own journey of building a self-driving RC car, and competing in races.
