Building Global Competencies in Turbulent Times Through Local and Global Partnerships in Africa
The video describes the activities and achievements associated with the BIE Department of Education grant aimed at promoting virtual exchange between universities in the United States and their counterparts across Africa. The goal of this initiative is threefold: 1. Building a Globally Competent Workforce: We equip students and professionals with the skills to thrive in multicultural environments, both locally and internationally. 2. Bridging Education & Business Through virtual digital technology, we connect students and small & medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for impactful intercultural exchanges and collaboration. 3. Expanding Global Trade & Education By partnering with local and international stakeholders, we develop sustainable export education programs that unlock Africa’s vast market potential. Partners who engaged in virtual exchange projects with GSU include ESCA in Morocco, SMU and University of Gabes in Tunisia, Nile University and Alexandria University in Egypt, Lagos Business School in Nigeria, and the University of Pretoria in South Africa
