The Audi TT RS is an iconic sports car which broke new ground for the brand, establishing an entirely different precedent for what an Audi could be. Buying story When I first saw the Audi TT it was unlike any other Audi I had ever seen. In my mind, Audi was a brand that made family cars, like the Audi 5000 my parents had. Audi was a luxury brand, not a sports performance car brand. The original TT (1998) was very aerodynamic compared to other cars at the time. It looked modern, sleek, and subtle. I knew back then that one day I’d like to own one. I never considered myself to be a car person as I spend much of my time in large trucks and off roading. I’ve had several heavily modified Jeep’s and I even ran a club where we’d go on trips and see how deep into the mountains we could go. After my accident, I found it extremely difficult to continue with off-roading. It wasn’t for lack of trying either, the community of people helped a lot, and I did still join in on off road trips like I used to. It simply became too difficult with my wheelchair, and I was starting to feel like it was time to move on. Initially, the doctors suggested a minivan with a ramp, something that would be easy to live with. In my head, I was thinking hell no. I wasn’t going to give up on having a fun car to drive... TTRS Modifications In its stock form, the TTRS is an incredible car. However, I like personalizing my cars and with this engine, you can get a very surprising amount of additional performance.
