The final Sunday of spring deserved one last push. I headed down to Maryport North Pier for a proper late-night session, starting around 9PM and holding out until the stroke of midnight. The conditions were eerily flat calm, but the pier had a challenge for me—the seaweed was out in force, making every cast a test of patience! ​From the fading light of a perfect spring evening to the total darkness of a midnight tide, I waited for that one tell-tale bite.
