KOMPAS.TV A group of residents and volunteers raided a hut suspected of being used for parties and drug transactions in the Berastagi area, Karo Regency, North Sumatra. The raid was carried out because residents expressed concern about the rampant drug abuse in their neighborhood. Upon arriving at the location, residents found a man inside the hut. However, the man fled before being apprehended. At the scene, residents also found several tools suspected of being used for drug use. Residents and volunteers said they had previously requested assistance from the nearest police station to visit the location, but received no response. They then went to the police station to express their concerns about alleged drug abuse activity in the area. After receiving information from residents, police arrived at the location and immediately destroyed the hut suspected of being used for drug abuse.
