The Dark Knight Strikes Again, Part 2 - Atop the Fourth Wall

Part 1 barely featured Batman in it. In Part 2 we wish Frank Miller had continued that trend. Originally uploaded March 22nd, 2010. RUMINATIONS: Of the three Dark Knight Strikes Again reviews, I think this one is my favorite. That always seems to be the case with three-parter reviews - the middle section ends up being the funniest, since we've had so much momentum with the first part setting everything up, then the second one is where we get into the real meat of the review and dig into how much the comic sucks. By the third part, though, the steam is starting to wind down, so it's not quite as funny as the last bit. The Saturday Night Live clips of Darrell Hammond as Chris Mathews were recorded off of a TV tuner that my computer had years previously with a Target-purchased antenna. I was always trying to record funny things for future enjoyment, though it was difficult since I didn't understand a lot about saving files... plus there was the crappy reception given the method of picking up broadcasts. But hey, it at least let me see local channels and record occasional things, like 2 hours of Buffy the Vampire Slayer's season 6 finale, which I would have otherwise completely missed. This one was when I head-on took on the comments made in regard to the first part. Say I wasn't funny? Fair enough. Say Frank Miller is somehow above reproach or criticism? That's just ridiculous. None of us are above criticism.
