Day 4 - JESUS ​​AND EVERY CHRISTIAN ARE FRUIT OF THE HEART OF MARY Meditation It can truly be said that Jesus is the fruit not only of Mary's womb but also of her Heart; and it can also be affirmed that the faithful are fruits of that same Heart… The faith, humility, purity, love, and charity of her Heart made her worthy to be the Mother of the Son of God. These same virtues of her Heart have made her the Mother of the children of God. The Eternal Father gave her the capacity, covering her with His divine power—the same power with which He gives birth to His Son from all eternity in her adorable womb—to conceive that same Son in her Heart and in her virginal womb: “The power of the Most High will overshadow you” (Lk 1:35). Thus, she gave him the power, at the same time, to form him and bring him to birth in the hearts of the children of Adam, and by this means make them members of Jesus Christ and children of God. Just as she conceived and carried, and will eternally carry, her Son in her Heart, so too she conceived, has carried, and will forever carry in that same Heart all the holy members of that Head, as most beloved children, fruits of her maternal Heart, to offer them continually, as a perpetual sacrifice, to the divine Majesty (Saint John Eudes, O.C. VI, 147-148). *Inspirational Question*: What place do I allow Mary to occupy in the formation of my Christian life? Am I willing to let myself be molded by her Heart, as her true child? *Prayer*: Jesus, true Heart of Mary, enrapture and enchant our hearts. Grant that they may love, yearn for, seek, and delight in nothing but you and in you; May they find no rest or contentment except in you; may they make their perpetual dwelling in you, may they be consumed in the burning fire of your divine Heart, and may they be forever transformed in it.
