Flying from Zephyrhills Florida to Guatemala long cross country in a Cessna 182Q

This trip was part of a group flying excursion from Florida USA to Guatemala City. Organized by Jim at Caribbean Flying Adventures - https://www.caribbeanflyingadventures... His experience after 100's of guided excursions made this a low stress trip for the 9 planes in the group. Our plan was for the group to meet at Flores Guatemala at noon on a Monday. Knowing we would need to stop for gas in Cozumel we decided to spend 2 nights there on the way. Arriving in Flores, we spend two nights there, then proceeded to Guatemala City where we took a bus to Antigua for the next 3 nights. We flew IFR to insure we would stay clear of any restrictions and get over the mountains the right way. The Cessna 182 did great, and was quite comfortable at 12,000 feet.
