Garganta del Cares – Spain's Most Spectacular Hike? | Picos de Europa

Join me on an unforgettable adventure through the legendary Garganta del Cares in the heart of the Picos de Europa, Spain. Known as one of Spain’s most spectacular hiking trails, the Cares Route follows a breathtaking path carved into the limestone cliffs between Poncebos and Caín. The trail leads deep into a dramatic gorge, with towering mountain walls, crystal-clear waters and endless views over one of Europe’s most impressive landscapes. This incredible journey took us through approximately 24 km of mountain scenery, with narrow cliffside paths, tunnels and unforgettable viewpoints. By the end of the day, we had completed an epic 37,000 steps adventure through the wild beauty of the Picos de Europa.
