Full ascent of the Forcella Sassolungo / Langkofel MGF 2KB cable car in Val Gardena. The gondola lift is a fixed grip, two-seater and requires standing and was designed and built by Trojer and Leitner in 1959. The operating speed is 1.5 m/s or 5 km/h. This system was replaced several times: in 1959 it was a basket lift with silver-coloured baskets, in 1971 the baskets were replaced with closed yellow cabins and finally in 1992 the cabins were replaced with the characteristic white/beige ones that are present at moment. The system only works in summer because the Sasso Levante (chair lift) passes under the cable car and the cable car is low, so in summer the cables of the Sasso Levante are lowered using ropes and in winter the cabins of the cable car are removed to allow it to be raised again the ropes. This system will probably be replaced soon but nothing is known yet. This is my favorite rig
