The not-so-easy ascent to Kleiner Pyhrgas (2023 m), where the Pyhrgas traverse begins, took another 45 minutes. On the Pyhrgas traverse, walking terrain alternates with climbing up to grade 2, where surefootedness and a head for heights are essential for a successful traverse. The descent follows the Bad Hallersteig trail to the extremely friendly Gowildalm mountain hut, then follows a beautiful hiking trail back to the parking lot.
