Conoscere il porto per comprenderne la forza: concluse le visite in battello del personale AdSP
After the visit to the Savona-Vado port basins, the initiative dedicated to first-hand knowledge of the system's ports continued in Genoa, where staff from the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority took a boat tour of the port. The two-day tour aimed to provide a first-hand look at the operation of the ports and the role played by the Administration in the development, maintenance, and management of port infrastructure, while also strengthening awareness of the contribution each office makes to the system's full operation. The visits served as an opportunity for internal training and sharing, allowing employees to closely observe operational areas, docks, infrastructure works, road connections, dredging, warehouses, and port spaces that constitute the heart of the system's activities. In Genoa, the boat tour spanned the 22-kilometer stretch of the port, revealing the complexity of a port whose growth, management, and full operation are made possible by the daily contribution of the Port System Authority's offices and professionals. As President Matteo Paroli emphasized, the visit provided an opportunity to further highlight the relationship between the offices' activities and the operational reality of the port. Behind the development of the ports, the construction of works, and the operation of infrastructure lie procedures, skills, and administrative activities that are a fundamental part of the Authority's work. Overall, the two-day tour involved over 200 Port System Authority employees, a significant figure that confirms the value of initiatives designed to raise awareness of the role played by each office and professional figure within Italy's leading port administration. Knowing the port means better understanding the meaning of one's work, feeling part of a complex system, and contributing, with greater awareness, to the present and future of the ports of Genoa, Pra', Savona, and Vado Ligure.
