For 700 kilometers, I lugged a tent on my backpack that I didn't use. And it was in Ribadeo that I had to decide: am I really a normal pilgrim, obediently following the arrows toward Santiago... or someone who, for some reason, had invented an extra challenge for themselves? On paper, the plan to walk along the ocean to Fisterra looked very beautiful. But the Galician rain and the ukulele in the albergue quickly brought me back to reality. Ultimately, I chose my own path, which led me to one of the most beautiful spots on the coast—Cathedral Beach (As Catedrais). True, the ocean isn't very interested in pilgrims' plans. Having lost track of time, I found myself cut off by the tide and, instead of a leisurely stroll, put on an extreme show with a heavy backpack in front of dozens of astonished tourists. About how, having caught the ebb and flown in, but having gained a wealth of impressions, I made an important decision and didn't regret it.
