Watch The Mind (Verse 3)

🌸 TRAIN THIS HEART A 10-Song Concept Album Inspired by Eight Verses for Training the Mind by Geshe Langri Thangpa (1054–1123). This album is a musical journey through one of Tibetan Buddhism's most beloved Lojong ("Mind Training") texts. Each song explores the heart of one verse and its traditional commentary, reimagining these timeless teachings through contemporary music. These teachings are practical exercises for training the heart and mind to cultivate compassion, humility, forgiveness, wisdom, resilience, and inner freedom—not only for ourselves, but for the benefit of all beings. His Holiness the Dalai Lama explains: "The first seven verses of the Eight Verses for Training the Mind deal with cultivating the method aspect of the path—compassion, altruism, bodhicitta (the aspiration to attain enlightenment for the benefit of all beings), and loving-kindness. The eighth verse cultivates the wisdom aspect of the path by recognizing the empty, dreamlike nature of reality and freeing ourselves from attachment." Album Train This Heart (Overture) More Precious Than a Jewel (Verse 1) The Lowest Seat (Verse 2) Watch the Mind (Verse 3) The Hidden Treasure (Verse 4) The Victory of Humility (Verse 5) My Precious Teacher (Verse 6) Taking and Giving (Verse 7) Beyond the Eight Worldly Winds (Verse 8) The Awakened Heart (Finale) Eight Verses for Training the Mind by Geshe Langri Thangpa 1. By thinking of all sentient beings as more precious than a wish-fulfilling jewel, I will always hold them dear. 2. Whenever I'm with others, I will regard myself as the lowest among all and cherish others as supreme. 3. In every action, I will watch my mind and immediately transform destructive emotions before they harm myself or others. 4. Whenever I meet those overwhelmed by suffering or negativity, I will cherish them as though I had found a priceless treasure. 5. When others wrong or belittle me, I will take defeat upon myself and offer the victory to them. 6. Even when someone I have helped treats me unjustly, I will regard that person as my precious spiritual teacher. 7. I will offer happiness to all beings and quietly take upon myself their suffering with compassion. 8. May these practices remain free from attachment to gain and loss, praise and blame, pleasure and pain, fame and disgrace, recognizing all things as like illusions and thereby finding freedom. 📖 Official teachings from His Holiness the Dalai Lama: https://www.dalailama.com/teachings/traini... 🎥 Official teaching on Eight Verses of Mind Training:    • Eight Verses of Mind Training & Thirty-Sev...   May these songs inspire a little more compassion, wisdom, courage, and peace—one heart at a time. ❤️ If this song inspires a remix, please credit the original and link back to this channel so more fellow travelers can discover the music.
