TOYOTA HILUX com 2,5 MILHÕES DE KM NUNCA teve MOTOR ABERTO e DESBRAVA O BRASIL até HOJE!

The iconic Toyota Bandeirante was responsible for the Japanese manufacturer's reputation for being tough and unbreakable. And living proof of its legacy is this 1998 Hilux with 2.5 million kilometers on the clock and an original, intact engine that defies time. Long trips between São Paulo and Bahia, Piauí, Mato Grosso, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina, or any other remote location in Brazil were the formula for accumulating mileage equivalent to 62 times around the globe. The author of this impressive feat is São Paulo biologist Paulo Martuscelli—Paulão or Falcon, to his closest associates. He purchased this Hilux SR5 4x4 Double Cab in April 1998 from a Toyota Tsusho dealership in the south zone of São Paulo. The 2.8-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder diesel engine produces 78 hp and 17.7 kgfm of torque, paired with a five-speed manual transmission and 4WD. Performance is far from being one of its virtues: zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) is achieved in a long 25.5 seconds, and the top speed is 133 km/h (83 mph). Do you know how much that matters? Nothing! It wasn't haste that made this pickup run so far until the odometer stopped: it was efficiency that got it where it did. Press play and enjoy one of the most impressive stories ever recorded in the Brazilian automotive world!
