OLD STEAM POWERED MACHINE SHOP 26
This is number 26 in a series of looks at a shop I built and run as probably the only revenue generating steam powered job machine shop in North America. The 8x10" Richards Iron Works engine is partly disassembled to check condition and made ready to power the shop. Bearing surfaces are polished and the slide valve is reset. Discussion and questions about steam power and line shaft industry that built our country are always welcome......Dave
