I Thought This CB500 Engine Was Finished…

The mysterious rattle is back… and it’s time to find out whether this little Honda CB500 is hiding something serious. After successfully completing the 2,000-mile Longest Day Challenge, the engine has developed a worrying noise that just doesn’t sound right. Is it something simple… or the beginning of the end? In this episode, I start stripping the bike down, investigating the usual suspects and trying to track down the source of the infamous CB500 death rattle. Along the way I’ll be checking components, eliminating possibilities and hoping the engine isn’t about to deliver some very bad news. Will the old Honda live to ride another day?
