SpaDex launch marks milestone for India's space program, employs docking technology | DW News

Earlier on Monday, India launched a new space mission from the launchpad of the Sriharikota spaceport. The mission, called SpaDeX or Space Docking Experiment, is a stepping-stone in India's bid to become a space superpower. Onboard are two satellites that will be used to test new docking technology. Perfecting the difficult maneuver is vital to India's upcoming missions. It hopes to bring a sample from the Moon back to Earth.
