The specific focus of this session was on vaccinations and it covered the different vaccines available, their effectiveness against the new variants of Covid-19, dosing arrangements, safety issues and rollout prioritisation. It was emphasised that this advice is relevant to everyone in the renal community, regardless of kidney function or treatment. The webinar was chaired by Fiona Loud, Kidney Care UK Policy Director. We were joined by five kidney doctors, Dr Rebecca Suckling and Dr Fiona Harris from Epsom and St Helier University hospitals, Dr Joyce Popoola from St George’s University Hospital, Dr Andrew Frankel from Imperial College Healthcare Trust and Professor Richard Haynes from the Oxford Kidney Unit.
