UN visits Barotseland Part 3
The UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Representative for Zambia, Kanni Wignaraja, visited Barotseland on the 19th of June 2012 at the petitioning of Liberation Movements in Barotseland in which meeting the Ngambela of Barotseland conveyed the sentiments and demands of the people of Barotseland. He explained that the people want nothing less than Total Independence from Zambia, and appealed to the international community to oversee the process of disengagement from Zambia and help in ensuring that a peaceful transition takes place.
