Making a Primitive Knife
Fort Ouiatenon Knife Inspired by Indiana's Fort Ouiatenon, I made this knife from a scrap of leaf spring and shaped the handle from gun stock drop . The blade was forged in coal, filed, heat treated, and epoxied into a piece of white oak. I finished the handle with with aquafortis, linseed oil, and a rawhide wrap. Although it's made of modern materials with modern tools, its not many degrees away from what was done; drop the grinder, drill, and torch, swap that epoxy for pine pitch and you'd be there. #blacksmithing #minecraftlive #offgrid Thank you for watching!
