Voice of the Andes - Life in Abundance - Vladimir Kulakov's radio broadcast from Quito, Ecuador. Life in Abundance programs were also broadcast from the Philippines and Manila on the Voice of Friendship radio station. Vladimir grew up in Australia after his parents fled communist persecution in China. His grandparents moved from Kazakhstan to China in 1930 due to militant atheism in the then USSR, and in 1958 they moved to Australia and settled in the Sydney area. For many years, Vladimir and his wife, Natalia, were missionaries in the Philippines and Latin America (Quito, Ecuador), where they ministered to Russian-speaking people. There was no access to the USSR except radio waves, so Vladimir—first in a studio in Manila, Philippines, and then in Quito, Ecuador, on Radio Voice of the Andes—produced the radio programs "Abundant Life" and "Through the Pages of the Book of Books." Vladimir is a graduate of the Russian Bible Institute in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the Slavic Studies Institute at Wheaton College, Illinois. He also received a Master of Christian Ministry from Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Illinois. In addition to his radio work, Brother Vladimir served in Central Asia through the Bible League, and currently works for Mission Eurasia (an organization founded by Peter Deyneka and formerly known as Peter Deyneka Russian Ministries). Vladimir speaks Russian, English, and Spanish. He is a frequent attendee at church conferences and teaches Bible courses. This long and tireless journey of serving the Lord for Vladimir, or Walter (Wally), as he is known in English, began with a sermon he heard at his church in Cabramatta, New South Wales, Australia. The sermon called for "Don't forget your heritage!" From then on, from 1970 to the present day, Walter has dedicated himself to preaching God's love to the Russian people. On the airwaves of Radio Na Puti (Na podhod), two programs produced by V. Kulakov are broadcast: "Life Abundant" – Monday 9:00 AM, Wednesday 11:00 PM "Through the Pages of the Book of Books" – Wednesday 6:15 AM, Sunday 2:00 AM (Pacific Time)
