Emerson, la naturaleza y la filosofía de la India

Ralph Waldo Emerson was a poet and essayist, lecturer and philosopher, and a leader of the mid-19th-century transcendentalist movement. As we saw in the previous program, he was a great friend and mentor of Henry David Thoreau. This program consists of three parts: first, a very brief biography; then, we discuss his first essay, *Nature*, from 1836, where he first expounds his philosophy of transcendentalism. Finally, we explore how Indian philosophy influenced his work and thought.
