El grupo Sefarad nació en 1985 con músicos y actores mexicanos, judíos de diversos orígenes. Este espectáculo Sefaradí de música, poesía y danza se presentó en la Sinagoga Histórica como parte del Festival del Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México. La producción del video y sus derechos pertenecen al Canal 22. Los textos en judeo-español son autoría de del escritor y periodista francés Marcel Cohen y forman parte de su libro "LETRAS A UN PINTOR KE KREYA AZER RETRATOS IMAGINARIOS".
