Bang Toei Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chachoengsao Province, is an important area that the Eastern Railway Line must pass through. It's a key route used by villagers for trade to Bangkok. The area has railway stations and stops connecting to the community. The railway plays a vital role in transportation and the economic life of the people in Bang Toei. Almost every house here grows various kinds of vegetables on their property, which are then sold to wholesalers at the railway station. Even roadside vegetables are harvested and sold; it's safe to say that everything in this area can generate income. The vegetables sold by the Bang Toei villagers are easy to grow in their yards. This is a supplementary occupation that provides daily income. The villagers harvest and sell vegetables according to the daily needs of the vendors. Trading on the train is a charming, traditional way of trading that the people of Bang Toei have practiced for generations. Located just about 70 kilometers from Bangkok, train travel is vital to the livelihoods of the local people. On the train are Uncle Nook and Aunt Nong, vendors who buy goods from the community and sell them at Makkasan Market in Bangkok; Aunt Bang-orn and Aunt Mali, who buy goods to resell at Bang Kapi Market; and many other vendors who rely on this route for their income. The train carriages are divided into cargo cars for vendors and passenger cars. During the journey, ordinary passengers also use the train, fostering camaraderie and mutual assistance – a unique charm not found in other markets. Some passengers help tie bags, arrange vegetables neatly, and some even help sell, understanding the speed and efficiency required for trading on a train. Besides vegetables, Bang Toey's traditional Thai sweets are also famous. Nowadays, they are sold not only on the train but also throughout Chachoengsao, Bangkok, and nearby provinces. The railway thus plays a crucial role in the transportation and way of life of the people in Bang Toey.
