🌿 Tour of Mordi's private garden: Welcome to my home. This time I'm taking you on a personal tour of my favorite place - my private garden. After I've had time to tidy and organize it, I invite you for a short tour among the trees and plants that accompany me every day. :Let's get started 🍋 Citrus and Orchard Department: The Power of Pruning This year we emphasized the message "Light equals life, pruning equals fruit". • Lemon and pomelo: After a fruitful year, we performed a massive pruning. The trees seemed sparse for a moment, but look at the reddish and healthy blooms now! • A little tip: If your leaves are "mottled", the tree is probably thirsty for microelements (combi). • Clementine (Or variety): After a less successful year, we opened "windows" for it to the light. The result? Crazy flowering at the tips. We expect dozens of fruits this year. • Lychee: We're keeping our fingers crossed. The cold has affected the blooms a bit, but in gardening – sometimes you just have to hope for the best. 🌱 The Back Garden: Minimal Maintenance is the Name of the Game In choosing the plants here, the main motif that guided me was zero maintenance: • Sichuan pepper: A brilliant, strong plant that maintains a natural spherical shape. • Hawthorn 'Snow Maiden': Blooms in white, dense and not at all spoiled. • Nandina family: The star is the Pink Flash (a new variety!) that gives spectacular red shades, alongside the familiar and beloved 'Obsess'. • The Grandiflora dates that never disappoint – a "plant and forget" plant, green all year round with blooms twice a year. • Dwarf Japanese Phytosporum. A strong plant that grows in a cushion shape and does not require touching. 🌳 Kings of the Garden For small gardens: Highly recommended is Liquidimber Livni – a neat tree with a beautiful red fall foliage display. • Bellflower (Tulip Tree): One of my favorite trees. Its blooms simply look like tulips. We raised the view a bit so that you can walk under it with pleasure. • Caliariani Pear: Beautiful white blooms that remind you of a cherry. It is a very neat ornamental tree and highly recommended. • Tzrifi Oak: The most interesting solution for those looking for a narrow and tall tree that grows like a cypress but without the appearance of a cemetery. Less than a meter wide by 7 meters high! • Male weeping mulberry: No fruit and no dirt. It is pruned every year to create a canopy that is fun to sit under with your morning coffee. • Woodland knotweed and pitena: The beautiful pitena gives us pink blooms every year, and next to it the woodland knotweed, which has just started to burst into amazing pink blooms after the leaves have fallen. • Tabboa ape Santa Barbara: A tree that closes off the corner for us, and in the future will give an even bigger and more beautiful flowering show. • Indian legume: Towards the summer, three legume varieties of the "Dynamite" variety are waiting for us here, which will give a crazy flowering show in beautiful red. A strong tree that adds a lot of color to the garden. • Medicinal white: A fairly rare plant that is a bit difficult to obtain. Absurdly, despite its name, it is actually poisonous to eat, but its blooms are amazing. It likes drier areas and we hope that over the years it will continue to acclimatize here nicely. 🏖️ The corner of shade and relaxation In the more shady corner, I chose plants that know how to work quietly: • A combination of Bat Aviv, barnias and phloxes with liriope. • At the far end is the Pakistani mulberry – the tree we enjoy the most at home. This year it is in hysterical bloom because I didn’t have time to trim it down because of the war, so we’ll just eat a lot of fruit! A last word before you jump on me... Have you seen synthetic grass in the garden? Before you criticize, I remind you that I share this garden with my dear parents. The synthetic grass was their explicit request, and for me – respecting my parents is above all, even above my love for natural grass. 😉 This is it, this is my garden, I’m happy to share my private part with you. What do you think of my choices? I’d love to hear what you think in the comments! 👇 Yours, Mordi, Marmelstein Nursery. 0505-367367 #Gardening #Marmelstein_Nursery #Mordi's_Garden #Gardening_Tips #Tulip_Tree #Fruit_Trees #Garden_Design #Do_It_Yourself_with_Marmel
