In the Gospel of Luke there is a story about how after the death of Jesus Christ, His disciples go to Emmaus. They go in a state of deep disappointment, because what they expected did not come true. Their condition affected them so much that when they met Jesus on the road, they did not recognize Him. In our lives, there may be situations when we become disappointed in people, in ministers, and even in the church. In such situations, unfortunately, we, too, due to our condition, may not see Christ nearby. Where does disappointment come from? What causes it and how to avoid it in relationships with people? How to protect ourselves from a state of emotional decline and what to do if we still find ourselves in a state of depression?
