Castle Hill, Almondbury, Kirklees, Huddersfield

We made two visits to Castle Hill which I've combined together in this film. The most recent in winter months, and previously during the summer when the Jubilee Tower was open. Finding a walking route was limited through local farms and fields, but I am sure there are longer options. Several perimeter trails circling the tower itself, gave panoramic views of Huddersfield and surrounding countryside. It is possible to drive to the top of Castle Hill for parking, but access is up a narrow steep winding lane from Lumb Lane. Charges may also apply, but other than that there is a small lay-by we used, just near the approach up to Castle Hill.
