The last whip makers tells the moving story of the dying craft of whipmaking. Viewers travel through Switzerland and Trentino in Italy, where they experience the last masters of their trade up close. The 95-year-old Walter Fässler takes centre stage as he creates his last whips, revealing his deep connection to a tradition that will soon be forgotten. The Tamè brothers in Taio and Georg Fehr in Erlen in Thurgau also demonstrate their unique manufacturing techniques with dedication. The 46-minute documentary film is a tribute to craftsmanship that is in danger of being forgotten.
