‘I could never do that…’ What does it take to complete the Helvellyn Mountain Triathlon?

In June 2021, Live + Wild followed two incredible amateur athletes as they participated in one of Britain’s toughest races – the Helvellyn Triathlon – and share the story of why they push themselves.   A 1.5km open water swim, a 59km cycle finishing up the infamous ‘Struggle’, and a 15km trail run passing the summit of Helvellyn – this is not for the faint of heart, but we join Katey and Andrew as they make their way through some of the most beautiful and brutal parts of the Lake District.   Live + Wild is a film series celebrating ordinary people doing extraordinary things – and we’d love to hear from you.
