HOW DO I GET MONEY FROM A FOREIGN INSURANCE COMPANY? If you want compensation from a foreign driver, the Central Call Center will provide you with the contact information for a claims representative. All EU insurance companies are required by an EU directive to appoint such a claims representative based in Germany. The Central Call Center can also help you find the insurance company of the driver who caused the accident if you don't know it. You simply need to provide the license plate number of the other vehicle involved. This applies to car accidents abroad as well as accidents in Germany involving a foreign vehicle.
