🚆 Beautiful sunny morning cab ride (Switzerland | Glattbrugg - Basel)

It's a beautiful autumn morning in Glattbrugg and everything is set for a great cab ride! Our locomotives came here with a train full of Jet A-1 fuel for Zurich Airport, but there's no load for the way back, so we're going empty. This train consists of two locomotives and takes us all the way back to Basel-Muttenz marshalling yard, through the beautiful Furttal region and over the famous Bözberg route, one of the main corridors for freight trains in Switzerland. The Re 421 is a Re 420 with German safety systems and pantograph on board, which allows it to circulate in Germany. And it has no A/C unit, which is a bit of a pity during hot weather. ;-) Right after leaving Glattbrugg, we'll make a right turn and head west from there on - with the sun in our back during the whole time, giving this video a very special atmosphere and a great view onto a beautiful autumn day.
