The Ukrainian army is apparently reinforcing its presence on the southern bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region. This is according to a report by the US think tank Institute for the Study of War (ISW). The report states that several hundred soldiers have crossed the river. Armored military equipment is also said to have been transported across. The Ukrainian-controlled bank of the lower Dnipro has been subjected to heavy shelling by Russian artillery and bombing by the Russian air force for weeks. Most of the Kherson region remains occupied by Russian troops. In other sections to the east and south, Ukrainian forces continue to repel Russian attacks, as the Ukrainian General Staff stated. The Russian army has apparently suffered heavy losses, particularly in the battle for the city of Avdiivka. A British intelligence report from the weekend indicated that Russia has lost approximately 200 armored vehicles in three weeks. How significant are Russia's losses?
