The Pursuit | Fly fishing the Colorado Front Range with Landon Mayer

Fishing is a life long pursuit for full time guide Landon Mayer. Born and raised in Colorado he has fished and guided these waters since he was 18 years old. To say he’s an experienced angler is a massive understatement. We were lucky enough to be able to spend a day out on the reservoir with him and a couple clients he was taking out for a guided trip. Watching how he calculates all the different weather conditions and water variables is truly amazing. He has a near sixth sense for where the fish are going to be holding. In this film we take a closer look into how he does what he does. He talks about rigging and depth control as well as how to actually find fish. Landon has an unbreakable positive attitude and that is what he really attributes to his success. We are so thankful to have him as a part of the Flycraft crew.
