"Pick of the Day" - 1958 Gretsch Model 6120 and 1956 Electromatic Model 6161 Amp
Today we have a wonderful pair of 50's Gretsch gear, a 1958 Model 6120 guitar and 1956 Model 6161 amp! These are both in great condition and are great unique pieces - a Bigsby-equipped archtop with a pair of old Filter'Tron pickups give these guitars their sound, and they're just too much fun to play. The binding on the body here is in solid shape, which is somewhat unusual for these guitars of the era, and the only minor issue is a slightly bent tuning button that has no real effect on the guitar. The Model 6161 Amp is also in great condition, and these things have not one, but three speakers inside - a pair of 7x11" Rola Oval Speakers, and a 5" Rola Tweeter. The tolex finish and wraparound grill make this an amp that really stands out visibly, and they carry a great and unique sound as well! For more information on the guitar or amp, please give us a call or check out: http://www.emeraldcityguitars.com/pro... (The Model 6120 guitar just recently arrived and will be on our site soon!)
