Júnior Dantas is an actor, screenwriter, storyteller, and journalist from Rio Grande do Norte (born in Ipueira, RN). He is the creator of the play "The Little Black Hero," focused on racial literacy, ancestry, and the appreciation of Black culture. The play became a book written by Cristina Moura and Júnior Dantas himself, with illustrations by Rodrigo Andrade. Cristina Moura is a teacher, contemporary artist, theater director, choreographer, performer, and acting coach. A graduate in Performing Arts from the University of Brasília, she lived in Europe for 9 years, where she collaborated with various directors and choreographers. The book “Little Black Hero” presents the adventure of Super Nagô, a 10-year-old YouTuber who discovers his powers through his family. The little black hero uses the knowledge of his ancestors and nature to positively transform the lives of those around him, introducing Black history, culture, and ancestry to children and young people. Júnior and Cristina highlight, in the program, the importance of stories that bring representation to children, as is the case with this book. Black children recognize themselves in characters and everyday situations, and this is fundamental for everyone. The book has a language that attracts readers of all ages, and Júnior and Cristina want exactly that: for the story to continue down many paths and gain more and more readers.
