La polifonía corsa | Gargulae Vocis

Corsica preserves a polyphonic tradition that has been transmitted orally. Among the most important Corsican polyphonic forms is the paghjella, a secular song performed by male choirs that has been inscribed as an element of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Corsica also has a rich heritage of liturgical and paraliturgical polyphonies that have some characteristics in common with paghjelle. Gargulae Vocis performs this repertoire and explains some of the keys to it.
