Train no. 22221 leaves Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 16:00 daily and arrives Hazrat Nizamuddin at 09:55 every day. The return train 22222 leaves Hazrat Nizamuddin at 16:55 daily and arrives Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 11:15 daily. CR Rajdhani Express runs with an average speed of 86 km/h. On 19 January 2021, Central Railways increased Rajdhani's frequency from 4 days a week to daily basis. It is hauled by Kalyan-based WAP-7 (HOG)-equipped locomotive and run with push–pull method. 22221 Rajdhani Express will also add other full connectivity between Mumbai and Delhi after Punjab Mail which used to take almost 25 hours to reach Delhi from Mumbai. The terminus was designed by a British architectural engineer Frederick William Stevens from an initial design by Axel Haig, in an exuberant Italian Gothic style. Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station (station code: NZM) is a railway station in South Delhi, India. It is under the administrative control of the Delhi Division of the Northern Railway zone of the Indian Railways. It is one of the five main stations in Delhi and handles nearly 250 trains daily The station was named after the Sufi saint Hazrat Nizamuddin. Hazrat Nizamuddin station was upgraded to help relieve congestion at New Delhi railway station and is recommended for first-time travellers, particularly those bound for Agra, as it is less busy and easier to navigate. Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station connects all the major cities and was developed to ease congestion on New Delhi which is located approximately 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) to the north. It originates and terminates Rajdhani Express trains going towards Bengaluru, Chennai, Secunderabad, Madgaon, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram.
