Don't you just love it when it works out and you have the best day ever. This rough piece has made my day today. It really didn't look like much to begin with but I had an inkling that it may cut a beautiful black opal inside. Wow was I right. As I ground further inside this piece it just got brighter and brighter and blacker as well. Not to mention the pattern became stronger and more distinct.
